Fire doors are classified by material: steel fire doors and wooden fire doors. There are some differences in the installation methods for these two types of fire doors. They also differ slightly in fire resistance rating. Please pay attention to these details during installation.
First, when installing wooden fire doors, the door frame size should be 20mm smaller than the opening, and the bottom of the door frame should be embedded 20mm into the ground. The door frame should be firmly fixed to the wall, ensuring vertical alignment. Care should be taken to ensure the door frame is straight and angled when erecting and supporting it, avoiding planing or sawing. There should be no fewer than three fixing points on each side of the door frame, with a spacing preferably not exceeding 800mm.
Second, during the installation of steel fire doors, considering the possibility of bending and deformation of the door frame, it should be supported with wooden beams along the width of the door frame. The bottom of the door frame should be embedded 20mm into the ground before welding the door frame to the embedded parts in the wall. Then, make a hole in the wall at the upper corner of the door frame and pour in concrete made of cement, sand, and expanded perlite (1:2:5). Once the concrete has hardened, it can be used.
