Apple Cabin Toilet

Forget those generic outdoor toilets that look like they belong in a construction zone-we built the Apple Cabin Restroom because people kept saying, "Why can't an outdoor loo look nice and work hard?" A customer in Vermont put it best: "I thought outdoor loos were just ugly boxes-this one fits right next to my cabin like it was always there."

We didn't cut corners on tough stuff, but we also didn't overcomplicate it. Let's be real: outdoor spaces don't need "premium" materials that cost a fortune-they need stuff that survives messy life. The frame's powder-coated steel, too-last winter, a campground in New Hampshire had three feet of snow pile up on top, and it didn't bend. This summer? A food truck spot in Texas left it out in 100°F heat for two months; the steel didn't peel, and the cedar still looked good.

Setup? A dad and his teen built one in their backyard over a Saturday-no fancy tools, just a drill and a level. They even sent us a photo of it next to their fire pit. We pre-fit all the plumbing hooks before shipping, so you don't have to guess which pipe goes where. If it's permanent (like a B&B guest bath), hook it to your septic line. If it's seasonal (think pumpkin patch or wedding tent), slap a portable waste tank under it-done. And about water? We dropped the flush volume from 1.2 gallons to 0.8 after a rancher in Wyoming said he needed to save water for his livestock. Turns out, it still flushes just fine-no clogs, even when his crew used it all day.

Men's Restroom

Dimensions: 5800mm (L) x 2200mm (W) x 2450mm (H)-same as a small garden shed, so it tucks between trees or next to a garage without sticking out.

Bathroom Partitions

Compact grade laminate-super easy to wipe down (important when guys forget to wash their hands and lean on things).

2

Urinal Partition

Frosted glass (400mm x 120mm)-we tested clear glass first, but customers said it felt too exposed. This way, you get privacy without making the space feel like a cave.

3

Windows

Double-paned aluminum frames, 500mm x 600mm-high up, so no one peeks, but still lets in light (no one likes a dark bathroom).

4

Main Door

Aluminum frame with double glass-light enough for a kid to open, but heavy enough to stay shut in a breeze. Size: 840mm x 2100mm, with a key lock (to keep teens from messing around inside).

5

Wash Basin

Porcelain basin with a low-flow tap-saves water, and it's deep enough so guys don't splash water everywhere. The mirror has anti-fog coating-game-changer on humid mornings when you're shaving before a hike.

6

Toilet

Compact ceramic model with a slow-close seat-no more loud "slam" at 2 AM when someone stumbles in from the fire pit.

7

Urinal

Wall-mounted, water-saving model-takes up less space, so there's room for two guys at once (cuts down on lines at fairs).

8

Air Conditioner

US-standard window unit-cools fast, which matters when it's 90°F and you're stuck in line.

9

Women's Restroom

Dimensions: 5800mm (L) x 2200mm (W) x 2450mm (H)-same footprint as the men's, but we tweaked the inside to fit what women actually need.

Bathroom Partitions

Same compact grade laminate as the men's, but we made each stall 4 inches wider-one bride-to-be said she needed space to set her purse and wedding dress while she fixed her makeup.

2

Windows

Double-paned aluminum frames, 500mm x 600mm-same high placement as the men's, but we added a small blind (a customer in Arizona said the afternoon sun was too bright for doing her hair).

1

Main Door

Aluminum frame with double glass, 840mm x 2100mm-key lock plus an "occupied" slide (no more awkward knocks).

5

Wash Basin

Porcelain basin with a low-flow tap, but we extended the countertop by 6 inches-another wedding customer said she needed space for her foundation, lipstick, and a small mirror. The mirror still has anti-fog coating (humid mornings ruin makeup, too!).

6

Toilet

Ceramic model with a slow-close seat-same as the men's, but we added a small shelf on the side (a grandma said she needed a place to set her walker while she sat down).

7

Air Conditioner

US-standard window unit, same as the men's-but we set the default temperature 2 degrees cooler (a group of women at a craft fair said they overheated faster than the guys; we tested it, and they were right).

We don't do "perfect" on paper-we do "works for real life." One customer uses it as a guest bath for their lake house; another keeps it at their pumpkin patch for families. A rancher even turned one into a "mud room" for his kids to wash up after chores (we didn't plan that, but it's our favorite use yet). The point? It's not a "one-size-fits-all" thing-it's whatever you need it to be. No fancy marketing, just a loo that shows up for your messy, busy, real outdoor life.
